U.S. Veteran
Thomas Phillip Bonavida, 80, passed away January 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born September 3, 1939 in Ouray, CO. Tom moved to the Oklahoma City area when he retired from the United States Navy, having served 21 years and achieving the rank of Master Chief. Tom met Wanda in 1982 and they married in 1983, celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary on January 9, 2020. He was a loving husband and father, avid fisherman, and good friend and neighbor. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Helen Bonavida. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home; son, Phillip Bonavida (Angela); stepson, Greg Eischeid (Debbie); stepdaughter, Lisa Bergman; grandchildren: Cory Bonavida, Erica Morris, David Eischeid, Stephanie Gust, Jennifer Jones, Ashly Weeks, Jory Williamson and Brett Manning and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society at nmcrs.org. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 23, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 25, 9:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m., at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon.
