Alva Eli Butcher, Jr, 58 of New Freeport, PA died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his residence.

He was born November 18, 1961 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Alva Eli Butcher, Sr. and Martha M. Simmons Butcher.

Mr. Butcher worked at various jobs in his lifetime.

He was in the United States Army Reserves.

Surviving are one son, Alan Lipscomb of Uniontown, PA and one daughter, Tara Stump of Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Williams of Nemacolin, PA and Randall Butcher of Ohio; seven sisters, Debara McClure of New Freeport,PA, Shelda VanDevender of Elkins, Deloris Butcher of Nemacolin, Trina Williams of Greensburg PA, Patty Black of Waynesburg, Elizabeth Williams of Nemacolin, and Rebecca Rodriguez; and one grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Kirk and Anita Butcher; and one brother, Joshua Williams.

At the request of the deceased his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
