OBITUARY FOR PAUL H. BRENDEL

Paul H. Brendel, born April 15, 1889 at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, died January 1 at the Tacoma General Hospital. He married Agnes McDowell July 9th, 1913. Surviving relatives are his widow Agnes, one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Weaver, of Seattle; two sons, Myron of Enumclaw and Pat of the home, a son-in-law, Herbert Weaver, of Seattle, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Myron Brendel, of Enumclaw; one sister, Mrs. G. W. Clary of Charlotte, North Carolina. Funeral services were held Monday, January 5, at the Whitmore Funeral Home in Buckley, with burial in the Sumner Cemetery. The Rev. W. O. Benadom officiated. Pall bearers were Dr. Wm. Wick, Harver Hiber, Clarence Miller, Charles McAllister, Byron Rickard and Percy Emmons.

Mrs. Robert Heston of Puyallup accompanied by Mrs. Harry Whitmore say, "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" and "End of the Road". Cascade Lodge No 61 F. & A.M. of South Praire gave the Masonic services at the chapel and the cemetery.

Mr. Brendel was a member of the Christian Church in Eagle Creek, Indiana, a member of Cascade Lodge No 61, F, & A.M. of South Prairie, past patron of the Iris Chapter of the O.E.S. of South Prairie, clerk of the school board in Carbonado, and an active worker for the Boy Scouts of the past 20 years, and chairman of the Boy Scout Council in Carbonado.
