George Coberly, Former Resident of Chula Neighborhood, Met Death In Minnesota -
Relatives and friends of George Coberly, a former resident of the Chula neighborhood, have received newspaper clippings of the death of Coberly which occurred in an automobile accident near Glenwood, Minn., on Sunday, February 21. His three daughters, Hazel, 7; Georgia, 14 and Alice, 16, who were in the car with him, were injured.
Mr. Coberly and his children were returning to their home near Villard, Minn., when the accident occurred, the Coberly car being struck by a large bus at a highway intersection. The injured were pulled from the wreckage and rushed to a hospital. Mr. Coberly's death occurring en route to the hospital. Hazel suffered a fractured pelvis and Georgia and Alice were badly bruised. They are recovering from their injuries.
Mr. Coberly was born in Chula April 11, 1884, being a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Coberly who are residents of the Chula neighborhood.
Surviving in addition to his widow are four daughters, the three injured and Mrs. Nellie Palmer, Hitchcock, S.D.
