Edna (Roeller) Allanson, the daughter of John Albert Roeller and Agnes Lavinia Cahoon, was born in 1898 and raised on her family's dairy farm on Sisson Highway in Eden, NY. She graduated from Eden High School in 1917. She married Roy Adolph Allanson in 1922 and they eventually settled on her father's farm.They had two daughters and adopted a third. Edna was an elementary school teacher for many years in the Lake Shores Central Schools system. She was active in the Up-to-date Club and Eden Garden Club over the years. Her husband passed away in 1966, and in her later years, she joined her daughter in Manitowoc, WI where she passed away in 1977. Her ashes are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Eden, NY.
