Luella Mae Richards, age 87, of Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at Greenwood Health and Living. Luella was born on March 7, 1932 in Acton, IN to Carl C. Hause and Vera Fern (Hamlyn) Hause.
She graduated from Franklin Township High School in 1950. On February 3, 1952, she married the love of her life, Roy Veston Richards. Luella was devoted to her family and was a home maker for the majority of her life. She loved animals and loved to work in her garden. Luella also was a member of Rocklane Christian Church for over 35 years.
Survivors include her six sons, David Richards of Whiteland, Don Richards (Pam) of Cloverdale, Veston Richards (Darla) of Whiteland, James Richards (Darlene) of Indianapolis, Bill Richards of Greenwood and Randy Richards (Dianna) of Rossville; one daughter, Helen Richards -Fleener (Joe) of Martinsville, IN. 17 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Roy Veston Richards and her parents.
Funeral services for Luella will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 26 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood, IN. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2PM. Burial will immediately follow at Acton Cemetery.
