Early yesterday morning, B. F. Lemmon, one of Carson's most worthy citizens passed to the great beyond. Several years ago Mr. Lemmon suffered a stroke of paralysis, since which time he has been an invalid. The fine character of the deceased made the friends that mourn his death. Mr. Lemmon was never known to say an unkind word and in spite of his afflictions he bore up and showed that man was made to suffer. The devotion of his wife during the years of his illness hag called forth the praise of the entire community and endeared her to all. Benjamin F. Lemmon was a native of Geneva, New York, where he was born seventy-nine years ago. He removed with his people to Michigan when a boy, but upon the discovery of gold In California he came with, the sturdy men who made the West and who fought the battle that has given the present generation the benefits. He and his family settled in Sierra Valley where they made their home until their removal to Carson, where the kindly gentleman made friends who will remember his Stirling qualities.
