Ralph D. Brown Jr., 71, southeast Kansas City, died Feb 21, 1990, at the home. He was born in Gentry, Ark., and moved to this area 30 years ago. Mr. Brown was an oiler for a construction company and was a member of Local 101 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Brown of the home; two daughters, Barbara Behnken, St. Louis, and Patricia Matthews, Dallas; a stepdaughter, Delores LaTorre, and a stepson, Richard Johnson, both of Kansas City; two sisters, Helen Schultz, Kansas City, Kan., and Betty Cross, Lee's Summit; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Blue Ridge Chapel; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
