Death of Mrs. Hawkins
Mrs. Mary Hawkins, aged 79 years, died this afternoon at her home at 921 North First street, of old age and pneumonia. The deceased had been ailing for some time, and this afternoon passed peacefully away.
Mrs. Hawkins is the mother of three daughters and four sons. All were present when death came to thier mother excepting Mrs. Mary True, San Diego, Calif., and James Hawkins of Kentucky. Mrs. Mont Burch, W.T. Hawkins and T.J. Hawkins are the children that live here. Mrs. Holland of Blackwell and John Hawkins of Muskogee, both came in time to see their mother before her demise occurred.
Mrs. Hawkins was highly regarded by her friends and acquaintances. She was a splendid mother and a good woman. Her friends and children sincerely mourn her departure.
As yet no funeral arrangements have been made, but will be announced tomorrow.
