DESLOGE — Myrtle Brashier Cummins, 81, of Park Hills passed away September 18, 2009. She was born November 24, 1927, in Alabama.
She was a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills. She loved listening to Gospel music; and loved quilting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Lester and Lucinda (Brand) Willis; her husband of 52 years, Thurman Brashier, and husband of 11 years, Leroy Cummins; brother, Louis (Mary) Willis; and sister, Fayellen (Lee) Doss.
She is survived by: Son, Jerry Brashier of Park Hills; daughter, Thurma Jean Price of Park Hills; grandson, Jerry (Sue) Wayne; great-grandchild, Courtney; step-children, David and wife Thelma of St. Louis, Don and wife Sharon of St. Louis; three step-grandchildren, Sandy and husband Craig, Donna and husband Mike, and Jeannine and husband Tony; six step-great-grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Andrew, Abigail, Sidney and Chad; brother, Claude (Marie) Willis; sister, Josephine (Hank) Cartwright; niece, Gwenna Doss.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Interment at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay.
