Mr. Simons, 91, died Thursday while visiting in Bakersfield, Calif.
Mr. Simons, of Oakwood, opened a Dodge and Plymouth dealership in 1936 at 530 N. Main St. He switched to selling Cadillacs in 1941.
In 1954 Mr. Simons retired and turned the business over to his sons.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three sons, Robert and Thomas, both of Dayton, and Richard of Arlington, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Jane Silva, of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Martha French, of Greencastle, Ind., and Mrs. Susan Steeves, of Vancouver, Canada; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the Miami Valley Hospital Diagnostic Laboratory in care of Dr. J. W. Funkhouser.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
