She was born in Burke County, NC on September 20, 1918 and was a daughter of William Columbus and Mertie Small Lambert.
Mrs. Abee was an active member of North Morganton Baptist Church, and loved all activities there including membership in the church choir, teaching Sunday School, and participating in Vacation Bible School and missions.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abee was preceded in death by sons, David R. Abee and Danny L. Abee; a daughter, Elizabeth Lamar Abee; brothers, Charles, Vernon, and Otis Lambert, Sr.; and sisters, Beulah Leonhardt, Nora Spinks, Ona Lee Littlejohn, Myrtle Bowman, and Naomi Josephine Lambert.
