Lidy Paulette (Crosslin) Ervin, age 69 of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1950 in Manchester to the late Britton and Audie (Frazier) Crosslin. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Moore County School System for over twenty-five years as an elementary school teacher. A member of Lynchburg First Baptist Church, Paulette was a passionate Christian lady who enjoyed working with Vacation Bible School and had done missionary work in Brazil. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Crosslin, Morris Crosslin, Anthony Crosslin, and Danny Crosslin. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, James “Mickey” Ervin of Lynchburg; daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Ervin of Lynchburg, and Brittney Ervin of Nashville; and sisters, Joan (Royce) Sissom of Gladeville, Tennessee, and Clairine Elkins of McMinnville. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Lynchburg First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Grey and Rev. Carl Tucker officiating.
