Actress. Hanson's acting career began on the stage. Her Broadway debut was in 1907 portraying the Duchess in "The Spoiler" with the Charles Frohman Company. In 1908, she was in the theatrical production of "Our American Cousin," along with Edward Hugh Sothern and in 1909, "The Builder of Bridge" with Eugene O'Brien. In 1912, she was in "The Governor's Lady," along side Emma Dunn and future film leading man, Milton Sills. Her film career began in 1914, playing Mary 'Moll' O'Hara in "The Straight Road." In 1915, she played the role of Blanche Sterling in "The Climbers" and also the same year, the role of Joan Templeton in "The Primrose Path." She next played the role of Christabel Nuneham in 1916 in "The Evangelist" and also the role of Kate Craig in "The Havoc." The following year, she appeared in "The National Red Cross Pageant," that was filmed to promote a positive opinion of America's involvement in World War I, to sell war bonds and to lend support to the National Red Cross. Eleven years later, in 1928, she appeared in the short "Walls Tell Tales." She continued acting on the stage in New York, Chicago and London until 1939.
