Montford S. Corley, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, March 13, 2017 at home of his son. He was born January 16, 1923 in Belington, WV, a son of the late George E. and Lula Phillips Corley. On December 23, 1943 he married Bernice Layne who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David Corley and wife Diane of Buckhannon and Montford J. Corley and wife Joanne of Richmond, VA; two grandsons, Andrew K. Corley and wife Bethany of Wake Forrest, NC and Christopher R. Corley and wife Erin of Cincinnati, OH; one great-grandson, Joss E. Corley of Cincinnati and one great-granddaughter, Anne E. Corley of Wake Forrest.
Mr. Corley was a member of the Belington Lodge # 125 A.F. & A.M. and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Wheeling Lodge. Mr. Corley was a foreman for the Consol Energy and was a member of the Chamberlayne Height United Methodist Church in Richmond, VA.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Broad Run Cemetery at Jane Lew, WV.
