He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Gordy had worked 42 years for American Grease Stick (AGS) as a chemical compounder. He enjoyed reading and camping in his spare time.
Survivors include his daughter, Hanni (Will Haney) Secrest; life partner, Jane Wojeiechowski; sisters, Cindy (Dennis) VanEtten and Linda (Thomas) Bosma; brother, Pete (Megan) Secrest; special friend, Wayne; several nieces and nephews and his grand dog, Cosmo.
