Mary Ann Keene Longacre, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006. She was born the only child of Kate Green Keene and Denis Walton Keene. She was 77, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge for many years.

Arrangements entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James "Jim" Longacre; son, Charles "Chuck" Longacre and his wife, Susan; daughter, Kate Finn and her husband, Brian; two grandchildren, Kevin and Andrew Finn; and a special cousin, Vincent Spear and his wife, Valjean.

Mary Ann was a docent at the Baton Rouge Zoo for 21 years and served as the zoo artist during some of those years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ex Libris Book Club and was a 1946 graduate of Baton Rouge High School and a graduate of Rabouin Vocational College in New Orleans.
