Son of John and Barbara Antrim. Born Adair county, Iowa. At an early age his parents moved to Illinois and then later in Clay county, Minnesota. He was the eldest son in a family of eight and his father being in ill health.
He married Lydia E. Rugg march 4, 1888 in Hawley, MN. With his bride he came to Park Rapids settling on a homestead 3 miles northeast of Park Rapids. His wife died a year later. He worked in the logging camps, the sawmill at Akeley, worked in California a while and returned to Park Rapids.
He died when his house burned.
