Barbara A. Alliano Wurtzel

Millville - Barbara Ann Alliano Wurtzel, age 72, formerly of Camden, NJ and currently of Millville, passed away on January 14, 2018, after a long battle of health problems, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Barbara was born in Camden on June 28, 1945, to the late Harry and Stella (Zimolong) Smith.

Barbara was a nurse; for many years she cared for those who were sick. Before she became a nurse, she married and had her children. Barbara loved many things in life. She greatly enjoyed shopping, fishing, crabbing and spending time with her grandkids. She also was an avid football fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents Harry L and Stella Smith; her husband, Dominick Alliano; her oldest son, Dominick Alliano, Jr.; God daughter Paula Brannon; mother-in-law Pearl Wurtzel; two son-in-laws, Edward Palladini and Pasquale Velez; and one granddaughter, Nicole Alyce.

Barbara is survived by her wife, Melanie Wurtzel; one son, Anthony Alliano and daughter-in-law Barbara G Alliano; three daughters, Janet Alliano, Carmella Palladini, and Barbra Lynn Alliano Velez; her grandchildren, Joseph and Jen Alliano, Dominick Alliano and Stephanie Alexander, Joseph Murray Alliano and Erin Murray, Amanda Palladini, Jennifer Carroll, Angelina Alliano, Dominick and Meghan Palladini, April Alliano, Matthew Alliano, Ashley Alliano, Briahna Velez, Destiny Velez, and Victoria Velez; several great grandchildren, Mya, Jackson, Dominick Jr., Joseph Jr., Jasper, and Madison; and many other people.

Barbara will be missed and loved by many.

Funeral Services for Barbara will be conducted on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Barbara was an avid donor to the National Shrine of St. Jude Claretian Missionaries, 205 West Monroe St. PO box 4875, Chicago, IL 60680 or the Basilica of National Shrine of Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Ave NE, Washington, D.C. 20017.
