Nina Ruth Wallace Bumgardner, 94, formerly of Yates Ave., Grafton, died on April 15, 2003, at The Grafton City Hospital of an extended illness. She was born in Grafton on March 24, 1909, daughter of the late George S. Wallace and Ella May Hildreth Wallace.

She was retired from being an Assiatant Manager of Seilhers Furniture Store, was also a public accountant and Notary Public in Grafton, a member of the Womans Club of Grafton for 54 years and also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Ruth Marie Beall of Grafton and Shirley Anne Meade of Woodbridge, VA; 7 grandchildren, William R. Beall, Wayne Beall and Jeffrey A. Beall, all of Grafton; Michael Armstrong, Woodbridge, VA, Tamasa Johnson, Fredericksburg, VA, Sabrina Huntley, Manassas, VA and Stephen Armstrong, Columbus, Ohio; 6 great-grandchildren: Christopher Beall of Morgantown, Estell Cake, Manassas, VA, J'na Johnson and Jeffery Johnson, both of Fredericksburg, VA; Alexander Huntley, Mansaasa, VA and Sati Armstrong of New York, NY.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Bruce Bumgardner on April 22, 1987, having been married on February 17, 1927; one son, William Bruce Bumgardner, Jr. and one sister, Nellie Faye Cole.

Friends will be received at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Friday, April 18, 2003 from 2 to 4 and on Saturday from noon to 1:00 p.m., the time of the service, with the Rev. Bert Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodsdale Memorial Park.
