They had 2 known children, Emmett Samuel (1925-1927, interred at the Gause Cemetery, Milam Co., TX) and Thea Smith (born 1921). Laura married, abt 1924, Walter Edward Pehl. The date and place of Jesse's death is not known. Per his WWI Draft Registration Card, he was born 9 Dec 1893. Some family trees on Ancestry show he died in Upson Co., GA in 1924, but the birth date they show is May 1891 and I have found no GA Death Certificate that matches that information. I do not believe it to be the same Jesse Samuel Smith. I have created a memorial for him and would like to find further information or proof of Jesse's actual date/place of death and place of interrment so that I may update his memorial.
