Death Claims W. G. Troth - Mound City - Services for Walter Glenn Troth, 87, were held Friday in the Wall Street Christian Church. Mr. Troth died last Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott. He was born in LaFayette, Iowa, Dec (sic) [should read Nov] 24, 1892. He was the son of Joseph Stanley Troth and Cynthia Smith Troth. He was a farmer and a stockman. On Dec. 24, 1913, he married Esther Pearl Price in Centerville. She died July 16 (sic) [should be 26], 1979. Mr. Troth was a member of Wall Street Christian Church and the Wall Street Grange. Among the survivors are five sons, Cecil Troth, Pleasanton, Raimond Troth, Mound City, and Earl Troth, Walter G. Troth and Kenneth Troth, Pleasanton; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Wisbey, Fort Scott, and Mrs. Alice Kerr and Mrs. Lillian Kerr, Parker; a brother, Jesse Ray Troth, Turlock, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
