Mrs. Sallie Belle Murdock Darr, 80, route 1, Troutman, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Davis Hospital. Death was due to a heart attack, Mrs. Darr was born Jan. 26, 1892, a daughter of the late Albert Alexander and Mary Susanna Bumgarner Murdock. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran church, active with the United Lutheran Women, and was a member of the Ostwalt Demonstration Club. She was married to the late William Alva Darr on Jan. 26, 1913, who died Dec. 26, 1963. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marvin R. Cash, route 1, Mrs. Edward T. route 1, Troutman, Mrs. John W. Davis of Troutman and Mrs. Bobby W. Edwards of Wilson; two sons, Robert A. Darr of Columbia, S. C., and James H. Darr of the home; one sister, Mrs. Thomas A. Rimmer, route 1, Troutman; two brothers, J. C. Murdock and J. B. Murdock, both of route 1, Troutman; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Interment will follow in St. Martin's Lutheran cemetery.
