Melba Allen Floyd Blue, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe.

Mrs. Blue was born June 11, 1929 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Chesley S. Allen and the late Ethel (Deaton) Allen. She was employed by AVON as a Sales Representative for over 30 years.

She is survived by daughters: Ava Pipkin of Troy, and Lana Hunsucker and husband Jack of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren: Matthew Hunsucker of Troy and Carla Dennis and husband Ken of Troy; one great grandchild: Lauren Dennis; brother: June Allen of Mt. Gilead; step children: Donna Tarlton and husband Tommy of Troy, Charles "Pete" Blue and wife Regina of Mt. Gilead, and Terry Blue and wife Ellen of Albemarle; step-grandchildren: Brandon, Misty, Tommy, Christopher and Samantha; 5 step-great grandchildren. Melba was preceded in death by siblings Doris Floyd, Treva Freeman, and Von Allen.

Melba was an excellent seamstress. Along with sewing, she loved singing and attending Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. She was always willing and desired to witness to others about her Savior Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Shady Grove Christian Church, 2491 Okeeweemee Rd., Star, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Richard Lynthacum officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
