Virgil D. Young of Boulder, a retired advertising contractor, died Sunday in Longmont. He was 74.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms St. Interment will be in Arvada Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Kansas City, Kan. On Aug. 26, 1939, he married Florence Edna Nelson in Colorado Springs. She is deceased.
Young was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Garden Club of the Botanic Gardens.
He is survived by a son, Jerry, Indian Hills; two daughters, Sharon Strunk, Longmont, and Cindy Carpenter, Lakewood; two sisters, Jacqueline Babcock and Cleo Nack; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
