KIRKMAN, Miss Annie Ruth of San Gabriel & Ft.Worth. Age 61. Died 12/13/1957 (Friday) in a Temple hospital following several weeks illness. Services held (Sunday) from Hewett Funeral Home in Temple. Burial in Locklin Cemetery near San Gabriel. Dr. L.R. Elliott of Ft.Worth assisted by Rev. Paul Powell of Troy officiated. Hewett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She was BORN 4/24/1896, the daughter of the late M/M. E.W.Y Kirkman, pioneer settlers and was born and reared at San Gabriel. Graduate of Baylor Univ. and took her Master's Degree at TCU in Ft.Worth. Lived in Ft.Worth for a number of years and was a mathematics teacher in the Paschal High School in Ft.Worth. Member of the Broadway Baptist Church in Ft.Worth. Member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Ft.Worth Classroom Teachers Asso.

SURVIVORS: 3 sisters, Miss Lola Kirkman of Ft.Worth, Mrs. John Chatmas of Marlin, Mrs. J.B. Lancaster of Troy; 2 brothers, C.E. (Dude) Kirkman of Baytown and Lloyd Kirkman of Marlin (died 1965), number of nieces and nephews.
