Barbara Jean Bailey Corry, 69, died Tu e s d a y, Sept. 26, 2006, in Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of David Corry and daughter of the late Beolis Bailey and Eloise Byers Bailey Phillips. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and the Musical Choir, a 1955 graduate of Granard High School, and a retired employee of Limestone Mills, Summit Plant.

Surviving are five sons, Keith Bailey of the home, Dwight Bailey (Mary), Terry Corry, Steven Corry (Suzette), and Frederick Corry (Sylvia), all of Gaffney; three daughters, Sherry Bailey of Tallahassee, Fla., Jacqueline Corry and Monica Corry (Alvin) of Gaffney; a brother, William Phillips of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren, including Marques and Byron Corry, who were raised in the home; three great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Carl Bailey of Severn, Md., who was raised in the home.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
