COLUMBIA - Services for Edward Wilson Aaron, 78, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 this evening at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Rehoboth United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6911 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29223.

Mr. Aaron died Tuesday, May 1, 2001. Born in Alexandria, Va., he was a son of the late Henry Clay Aaron and Ada C. Russell Aaron. A Marine Corps veteran, he served in World War II in the South Pacific and in the Korean War. He was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. He was a drill instructor at Paris Island, a member of the V.F.W., and was an active member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Aaron; son and daughter-in-law, Clay E. Aaron and Margaret W. Aaron of Palmyra, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Sally Aaron Cousineau and Leonard J. Cousineau Jr., of Westmont, Ill.; sisters, Frances Luker of Alexandria, Va., and Elizabeth Roland of Conway, Ark.; grandson, Clay E. Aaron II; five stepchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
