At his funeral everyone said, "a man who always had a smile on his face, and never had a bad word to say about anyone." He loved to hunt, fish, basketball, baseball and football. He also loved his guns. But most of all he loved his family and he loved to joke and make people laugh.

He was a very hard worker, for 37 years he worked at Ford Motor Company. His body left McCreary County in 1957, for Port Clinton, OH but his heart never really left McCreary County. He spent as much time as he possibly could with his family there. He was a man who was always on a mission ... and could never be accused of being a "Grandpa Driver". All through his life he had a "lead foot". Those trips down I-75 most always found his average speed around 80-85mph.

If you ever needed anything, Daddy was the one who was willing to help you out. He'd be the first one there, and never did he complain about anything. Not even in the end, when his cancer became so bad. Those who knew him couldn't help but love him. Now those who knew him, miss him terribly.
