Mrs. Abbie Jane Holmes, 78, of 2701 Indian Creed drive, Miami Beach, died in her home yesterday. She came to Miami from Haverhill, Mass., 26 years ago. Surviving are a son, Charles R. Holmes, of Miami Beach; a daughter, Mrs. William Messeck, of Haverhill, and a brother, Andrew Bixley, of Danvers, Mass. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Miami chapel of the Philbrick funeral home, with the Rev. C. Roy Angell officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial park.
