Sherman was born in Coleman, MI to the late Richard K. & Ina Mae (Thompson) Babcock on February 12th, 1944. He was born and raised in Coleman, MI and worked as a pipe-layer/ throughout his life. He is survived by his children Gordon Mockridge, Dan (Trinity) Babcock, Tammy (Tim) Upchurch, Tonya (Mike) Wougamon, and Tony (Teresa) Babcock; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will dearly miss him. In addition to his children, he is survived by brothers Bob & Jim (Judy), and sister Dorothy.Sherman was preceded in death by wife Beverly, mother Ina, father Richard, brother Bill, infant brother Buddy, and infant daughter Trisha.He enjoyed spending his time camping, fishing, canoeing, hunting, & other outdoor activities. His children share fond memories of him joining them on the roller rink, Spinning Wheels in Rosebush, MI. Memorial Visitation will be held on on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 from 11am until 1pm at Sisson Funeral Home, 135 North Silverleaf, Gladwin.
