Mary Elizabeth Murray
Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Murray, 75, of Wirt, will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Shell Street Church of Christ.
She was born in Hyland, Tex on August 8, 1892. She moved to Greer county as a small girl, lived there until moving to the Healdton area in 1926. She was married to Art Murray in 1921 at Breckenridge, Tex. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She passed away late Saturday afternoon in a Healdton nursing home after an illness of 18 months.
She is survived by the widower of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Willis Fullington, Harrah; Mrs. Ruby Lee Hess, Huntsville, Mo., and Mrs. Magdelene Bullard, Tulsa; four sons, Raymond, Harrah; Joel, and Richard, both of Wirt; and Rayford of Modesto, Calif.; two step-sons; Randolph of Stockton, Calif., Howard, Healdton; three brothers, Henry Shipman, McPherson, Kans, John of Vernon, Tex, and Azel Shipman of Burkburnett, Tex.
Also two sisters, Mrs. Addie Lewis, Elmore City, Mrs. Icie May Bagley, Vernon, Tex., 29 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery of Healdton under the direction of Reser Funeral Home.
