Evelyn L. Abeshaheen, 74, died Oct. 19, 1997, in Suffolk.
Born in Norfolk, she had retired as a bookkeeper for Kights Enterprises after 12 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Holt Frohman of Suffolk and Debra Abeshaheen-Diffee of Arlington, Va.; a son, David G. Abeshaheen Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Mildred Louden of Virginia Beach; a brother, Edward Brent of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren, Dana Kight of Virginia Beach, Glynn Abeshaheen of Chesapeake, Will Diffee, David Abeshaheen Diffee, Brent Diffee and Melanie Corinne Diffee of Arlington.
She was a very caring and devoted mother who will be missed by her family.
The David G. Abeshaheen family will receive friends at their home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be private. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association.
