William David "Jigg" McMahan was the son of James Madison McMahan and his second wife Nellie Blanche Erwin (the 7th child for James Madison). William married Ida Poletti on Dec. 8, 1948 in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR. He worked for Caterpillar in Decatur, Macon Co., IL and he owned and operated the Oasis Tavern in Kincaid, Christian Co., IL. He was a WWII Veteran. He was a member of the Kincaid Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Taylorville VFW. He was also a member of St. Rit's Catholic Church in Kincaid, Christian Co., IL. His funeral service was held at St. Rita's Catholic Church with Father Frank Campbell having officiated. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
