Dr. Allen C. Boyer, 88, passed away on Monday February, 17, 2020 in Carolyn's Hospice House in Harrisburg.

He was born in Quentin on January 29, 1932 to the late Peter and Alma Boyer.

Allen served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

A graduate of Lebanon Valley College, he went on to earn a Master's Degree at Temple University and a Doctoral Degree from Penn State.

As a teacher, Allen would go on to instruct students in chemistry and physics for forty-three years at Northern Lebanon High School and then Manheim Township High School. After retirement, he continued to teach at Lebanon Valley College until the age of 79.

In addition to being an avid tennis player, he also enjoyed golf, travelling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Allen was married to the late Joan Bullock for sixty years.

He is survived by his daughter: Kathy Fausnacht and her spouse Ken; his son: Allen and his spouse Suzanne; his granddaughters: Katelyn Dwyer and her spouse Nick and Molly; his grandsons: Tyler, Luke, and Adam; his great-grandson: Ethan Dwyer; and, his brother: Dr. James Boyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Grace United Church of Christ in Lebanon on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 02:00 PM.

Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 09:00 AM.
