BRIDGEPORT — Patricia Sue Harold, 88, of Bridgeport, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, in the United Hospital Center.
She was born in Seminole, OK, on November 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Jeremiah Webster Richmond and Blanche Mae Cochran Richmond.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert “Bob” Harold, whom she married February 20, 1951. Also surviving are her son, Rob Harold and his companion Regina Mealey; two grandchildren Robert Jeremy Harold and his wife, Brittany and Keith Andrew Harold and his wife, Shelby; three great-grandchildren, Adalyn Rae Harold; Luke Robert Michael Harold and Dawson Sawyer Harold and a sister, Norma Jean Arthur.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stefan Marc Harold; her daughter-in-law, Debra Sue Harold; her two brothers, Arthur Richmond and John Richmond and four sisters, Clarice Hubbard, Ruth Robinson, Nell Smith and Anna Bucher.
Patricia was a graduate of Reader High School, class of 1949. She was a secretary for Attorney Sam Powell, had worked at the Pentagon and was the secretary to the Director of the VA Hospital. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, staying in touch with her friends and family on Facebook; planning reunions and liked to go shopping and eating out. Most of all, she loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and dog-sitting Molly and Sadie. She was a member of West Milford United Methodist Church, member of Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 2 - 8 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020, with Pastor Jim Murphy presiding. Interment will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Harrisville.
