Young “Bo” Killed.
ATTEMPTED TO GET ON A MOVING TRAIN.
Guthrie, O.T., Dec. 1 – Voyghtle Abbott, the 13 year old son of O.W. Abbott, a Hackman in this city, in the employ of Griswold & Doyle, was run over and instantly killed at 3:30 Saturday afternoon by a freight train on the Santa Fe railroad.
Young Abbott had been in the habit of jumping on and off the trains and had just been warned away by a policeman. He went north to Noble avenue and when the train came along he attempted to get on the rods, but slipped and fell under the wheels, being mangled in a horrible manner. One of his legs was cut off and the other was so tightly driven into the fro gat the switch that the section men had to be sent for to take the spikes out of the ties before the body of the unfortunate boy could be released. Death was instantaneous.
