Chayaleh "Chaja" Bielski (Born Circa 1922, in Eastern Poland, but now Minskaya Oblast, Belarus), was the Wife of Asael Bielski (1908 -1945), her Husband and Warrior Hero.

As a War Widow, Chaja Bielski bore Asaela Bielski, a Dear Daughter sired by Asael Bielski and named to honor him. Asaela Bielski was born several weeks after her Father, Asael Bielski, died in World War II Combat against Nazi Germany. Asael Bielski was killed in Action (KIA) in February, 1945, during the Siege of Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany.

In 1942, Chaja (Maiden Name not discovered), joined the World War II Jewish Resistance Irregular Unit, called, "Bielski Battalion", or "Bielski Partisans". Within this paramilitary organization, Chaja was affectionately regarded, as the symbolic comforting "Mother". Her Wartime Gallant Rescuer was Asael Bielski, Lieutenant Commander of Bielski Battalion. In 1944, year before World War II in Europe ended, Chaja became the War Bride of Asael Bielski.

Asael Bielski (Born Circa 1908, in Stankiewicze, Poland, i.e., later on named, Stankievichy, Byelorussia or Belarus; Died in February, 1945, near Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany,
-now Kaliningrad, Kaliningradskaya Oblast, Russian Federation-), was a World War II Hero amongst Holocaust Jews.

Asael Bielski was the 5th-born of 12 Children, who blessed the Marriage of David Bielski and Beila (Mendelavich) Bielski. This large Bielski Family of 14 people, included 10 Handsome Sons and 2 Beautiful Daughters, and was the only Jewish Family in Stankievichy, Byelorussia.

On 22 June 1941, National Socialist (Nazi) Germany launched "Operation Barbarossa": Military Invasion of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R.), sweeping through Eastern Poland into Western Byelorussia 10 days later, 4 July 1941. Almost immediately in Stankiewicze and nearby towns and villages, Nazi Germans commenced persecution of Jews: hunted, identified, tormented and targeted for random killings and mass murders.

Bielski Family Oldest Sons, namely, Tuvia, Asael, and Alexander Zeisal ("Zus"), implemented emergency measures to locate scattered hiding places for immediate and extended family members, and then took refuge in the nearby Naliboki Forest.

Via persistent searching, decrees, demands, threats, coercion, brutality and murders, Nazi Germans and Collaborators found and relocated Jews in Western Byelorussian areas to several ghettos, most notably for 4 Bielski Family Members: Nowogrodek Ghetto, part of a town in modern times named, Novogrudok, Belarus.

After Nazi Gestapo (Secret Police) conducted a brutal selection process, Nazi German Soldiers & Collaborators executed David Bielski, his Wife, Beila (Mendelavich) Bielski, and 2 of their 10 Sons, on 8 December, 1941. The 4 Bielski Family Members murdered at Skrydlewo Village, near Nowogrodek Ghetto, Grodno Region, Byelorussia (now Novogrudok, Belarus), were among several thousand Jews murdered that same day (8 Dec. 1941) and same location.

Russian Archives Official Reports (Certified Affirmed Affidavits of Surviving Eyewitnesses) estimate between 4,500 to 6,000 Jews, innocent and unarmed, were murdered on 8 Dec. 1941, at Skrydlewo, Byelorussia: Mercilessly shot, execution style, in 2 side-by-side, large gravesite pits, with some Holocaust Victims wounded but still alive, when wooden planks and earth covered all Jews in the pits, as the Mass Grave was sealed.

Asael Bielski (1908-1945), Lieutenant Commander of Bielski Battalion, was a Brother of Tuvia Bielski (1906-1987), Colonel Commander of Bielski Battalion, Brother of Alexander Zeisal "Zus" Bielski (1912-1995), Intelligence Officer of Bielski Battalion, and Ahron Bielski (Born 1927), Reconnaissance Soldier in Bielski Battalion. In World War II, this bold, highly effective Jewish Partisan Resistance Unit, became quite famous: successfully saved nearly 1,300 Jews from Holocaust Genocide AND sabotaged Nazi German Invaders, in Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic (Belorussian S.S.R.). Belorussia became Republic of Belarus, after Year 1991 Fall of the Iron Curtain, that is, Collapse of Communism in the former Soviet Union.

As Lieutenant Commander (equivalent to Executive Officer or XO) of Bielski Battalion, which grew in strength, from a nucleus of 16 to 991 Jewish Partisan Fighters, Asael Bielski deserves his just share of credit, for rescuing 1,286 Jews (Men, Women & Children) from World War II Holocaust Extermination by Nazi German Invaders.

For a 3-year timespan (1942, 1943 & 1944), Bielski Jewish Partisan Guerrillas launched bold military operations from Belorussian Forest Havens, making many clandestine raids:
1. To extract and lead to safety, Jews in jeopardy of capture and massacre by Nazi Occupiers, within Jewish Ghettos and other Belorussian locations (Total Jews Saved: 1,286, but 50 Jewish Partisans were Killed in Action -KIA- in skirmishes with Nazi Germans); and,
2. To sabotage Nazi German Military Railroad Trains, Railroad Tracks & Bridges,
intercept Enemy Supply Truck Convoys, and ambush Nazi German Troop Patrols
(Bielski Battalion Documented Kills of Nazi German Military Personnel: 381).

Bielski Battalion heroic and compassionate military operations from "Jerusalem in the Forest" base camps, directly impacted 1,236 Jews, who were rescued and later survived World War II. Viewed In a larger sense, Bielski Battalion successes continue as, "Gifts that keep on giving": some 20,000 Direct Descendants of Bielski Battalion Rescued Jews were alive in Year 2013 -quite a Large Living Legacy of Love!

After Nazi German Military Occupation of Belorussia and Eastern Poland ended on 10 July 1944 (driven back to the Vistula River, by advancing Soviet forces), Bielski Jewish Partisans emerged from their Woodland Havens relieved, but out of work! Their war over, versus Nazi German Tyranny, most Bielski Jewish Partisans chose to return home and pick up the pieces, of what remained of their lives. Asael Bielski chose a different course. While he ceased to be a Jewish Partisan, yet Asael Bielski remained a Warrior at Heart.

Asael Bielski soon complied with Russian Red Army conscription (draft), for additional Wartime Military Service against Nazi Germany. About 6 months later, in February, 1945, Expectant Father Asael Bielski was Killed in Action (KIA), near Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany (now named, Kaliningrad, Kaliningradskaya Oblast, Russian Federation, or briefer, Kaliningrad, Russia).

The Child of Chayleh "Chaja" Bielski and Asael Bielski, a Dear Daughter named, Asaela Bielski, was born in February or March 1945, some weeks after his Death in Combat, on the East Prussian Front, near Koenigsberg. Germany (now Kaliningrad, Russia).

As a Holocaust Survivor, Chaja Bielski was listed after World War II, in Munich, Germany, among Jewish Displaced Persons, on 24 May 1947, seeking immigration into the United States of America, Specific Destination: U.S. Army Camp Fohrenwald, Missouri. Her file was closed, with a Date Stamp of "22 11 47" (22 November 1947), possibly after successful departure and transit, from Germany to America. Or, perhaps post-war plans changed, for War Widow Chaja Bielski.

Due to Privacy Laws keeping United States Census record information confidential for 72 Years, the 1950 U.S. Population Census will not become publicly available, until Year 2022. Perhaps, such official records, along with other supplementary records, will shed light upon if, when, whether and where Chaja Bielski and Aseala Bielski may have settled in America, and when and where they passed away.

Information recently became publicly available, indicating Chaja Beilski, together with Daughter Aseala Bielski, fled Soviet Communism in Belorussia and traveled into Poland. Moreover, if this info is accurate, as the story goes, Chaja Bielski met and married Asher Gershuni in Poland, and eventually emigrated to British-controlled Palestine.

During those difficult, unsettled times just after the close of World War II, many people were refugees: first displaced and terrorized, by Nazi German Oppressors, and next, seemingly "liberated", but with newly empowered Soviet Communist Tyrants. Sadly, instead of being blessed to enjoy Individual Liberty, as a Fruit of War Victory, they instead merely exchanged one set of Cruel, Powerful Socialist Taskmasters for another.

Chaja Bielski made a public appearance in Tel Aviv, Israel, during a 1980 Holocaust Survivors Memorial Service. Eyewitness Testimony of Chaja Bielski was cited in a Winter 2006 News Article, regarding, collaborators assisting in Holocaust "Final Solution" Extermination of Jews in Nazi-occupied Belorussia. In an personal interview dated 4 April 2012, Chaya Bielski-Gershuni provides a Holocaust Survivor Eyewitness Account of the Nazi-perpetrated Jewish Holocaust ("Shoah" in Hebrew; or also called, "Hurban", meaning, Destruction, in Hebrew and Yiddish), which killed some 6 Million Jews in Europe.

Aseala Bielski, Daughter of Chaja and Asael Bielski, was a News Media Journalist in 2008, working in Tel Aviv, Israel.
