James Paul Tackett, Jr. was born September 10, 1967 in Bolivar, TN the son of the late James Paul Tackett, Sr. and Betty Howell Tackett.
He was united in marriage to Lorie Martin on October 11, 1986.
James was a loving husband, daddy and papaw who enjoyed spending time with his family at home and on their yearly vacations to the Smoky Mountains. His favorite name was, "Papaw" and his grand babies were his world. He was a friendly man who never met a stranger, enjoyed riding four wheelers, and working on cars.
James departed this life on February 24, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 52 Years, 5 Months, 14 Days. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lorie Tackett of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Nikki Tackett of Ramer, TN; son, Jesse Tackett and fiance Ginger Crouse of Stantonville, TN; bonus son, Cody Pevytoe and fiance Jessica Crouse of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren, Addison Dixe, Braden Pevytoe, Mason Hunter and Emma Tackett; two sisters, Pat Rogers and husband Edward of Enville, TN, Joyce Thompson of Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Kiser, June Tackett.
