Mr. Ahmad Ali Abdur-Rahman of Cordele, Georgia died Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 3:30 p. m. in the A. S. Clark Auditorium on the campus of the M. D. Whitest Medical Institute in Cordele, Georgia.

The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Ahmad Ali Abdur-Rahman was welcomed to this world on October 5, 1984. He was born in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia to the loving parentage of Luqman M. Abdur-Rahman and Priscilla N. Abdur-Rahman.

He was educated in the public schools of Crisp County. In 2003, he earned his GED from Tallahassee Community College. He attended South Georgia Tech where he was a part of the Welding Program. He used his acquired skills as an employee of Big Tex.

It was clear, early in his life that he possessed a special talent for music. Ali was the founder of the award-winning Hip Hop/Soul Group Blaq Pyrates. He was the CEO and signed single artists to the Independent Record Label Blaq Pyrae Nation, LLC.

Because of his efforts, he was the recipient of the Sony Music Entertainment Distribution Record Deal; winner of Rapco Radio/Albany Sony Distribution Competition Showcase Tour; 2017 Best Alternative Rock/Best Pop/Best Hip Hop/R&B/Soul Independent Tone Award Winner. Ali was also the co-founder of Blaq Pyrate National Publishing Company and a member of BMI Songwriter’s Association.
