DEATH OF MRS. BEEBE
Mrs. Wm. Beebe died at their home two and one half miles north west of town, of blood poisoning, Tuesday evening after a three weeks illness started by a bruise on the foot. The funeral was conducted at the house by Rev M.G. McKenzie Wednesday morning and interment made at Cherryvale.
Mrs. Beebe was born in Germany. She came to North Dakota in 1888 where she was married to Wm. Beebe in '89. They moved from there to the farm near Mound Valley 6 years ago. Four children and the husband survive Mrs. Beebe. The oldest son was in Western Kansas and was not present at the funeral.

Rosa Rankin was born in Germany June 8, 1850, died at her home two and one-half miles northwest of this city, July 28, 1908, age 58 years, 1 month, 20 days. She was married to Wm. Beebe in North Dakota in 1889. To this union five children were born. They came to Labette county in the fall of 1902, and settled on the farm where they now live. Mrs Beebe was a member of the Catholic church. She had been a fairly strong women, until about three weeks ago when she hurt her foot, which resulted in blood poison and caused her death. She leaves a husband and four children, the oldest, Wm. Grant, who is somewhere in western Kansas; Mary, Mable and Romie, who are here with their father. Funeral service was held at the residence Wednesday at 10 o'clock a.m. conducted by Rev. McKenzie; interment in Cherryvale cemetery.

According to the Cherryvale Journal (Cherryvale, Kansas) on 18 Jul 1907, Thu, Page 4, the city mayor and councilmen adopted the name of Fairview Cemetery as the name of the Cherryvale city cemetery [established 1882].
