Steven Simpson Sapin of Las Vegas, Nevada, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 20, 2009, after his battle with cancer.

He was born July 1, 1959, in Washington, D.C.

He is survivied by his wife, Maria Sapin of Las Vegas; two daughters, Megan Sapin and Jessica Sapin; mother, Nancy Sapin Mawyer of Waynesboro; three sisters, Robin Dickerson of Waynesboro, Nancy Lee Carter of Montvale, Virginia, Susan Mawyer of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, Robert Sapin and his wife, Sharon Sapin, of Keswick, Virginia; a long time companion his dog, Monsenior; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Sapin II of Washington, D.C; two brothers, Jack Sapin III and Sean Sapin of Charlottesville, Virginia; one sister, Betty Jane Cronk of Washington, D.C.; one brother-in-law, Allen Carter.
