Mavis Irene Hill, 79, of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Mrs. Hill was born August 11, 1940 in Randolph County, AL to the late Richard Melvin Huddleston and Ethel Nelson Huddleston-Brooks. She retired from Fairfax West Point Pepperell Plant after many years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Neal Brooks; brothers, Thomas "Huddy" Huddleston and Zenus Huddleston; and granddaughter, Amy Hill Gregory.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Joel Hill; son, Randy Hill; daughters, Venetia (James) Kittrell, Vickie (Dean) Kolb, and Mindy Burkett; grandchildren, Daina Collins, Richard Hill, Ryan Kittrell, Josh Kittrell, Hannah Hilderbrand, and Jerad Burkett; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; her beloved pet and companion, Dixie; and other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Clinton Hadaway officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery at 4:00pm.
