About 1941, he entered US Army Air Corp. He was a pilot and loved flying. He retired at LAFB, Hampton,VA in 1973, after 32 years of military service.
He was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam and was twice the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross for missions flown in both wars.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Rose G Sobieski just 5 months earlier.
