Karl Kargess, 65, of 10 Market St., Tamaqua, died Tuesday morning in Coaldale Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He was born in Lansford but resided in Tamaqua most of his life. He was a shop foreman for Dudley Motors of Tamaqua until his recent retirement.
He was a son of the late George F. and Anna Erbe Kargess. His wife, the former Mildred Keich, died several years ago.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert and William of Tamaqua.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua. He was a graduate of McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Services will beheld Friday morning from the Davis Funeral Home, Tamaqua with interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tamaqua. Thomas L. Davis Jr. and J. Richard Davis, funeral directors, in charge.
