Alexis Krystine Aaron was born on January 2nd, 1985 in Houston, Texas. It snowed that day, a pretty rare weather phenomenon for the area. She became interested in dance, gymnastics, hula hooping, and being in the water at a very young age. She was a cheerleader at McDonald Junior high and at Mayde Creek High School, where she graduated in 2003.
She was always drawn to the ocean and moved to Monterey Bay to study marine biology at California State University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2010 at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. She was scuba certified and dedicated her time volunteering with dolphin rescue groups. She became a group fitness instructor and a cheerleader for the Corpus Christi indoor football league. It was during her college years that she began to really hone in on her hooping skills and could often be found teaching others on the beach.
In 2013, she moved to the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. She started a career with Honey Girl Organics, a natural skincare company that harvests its ingredients from bees. It was through a hooping workshop in Honolulu that she was introduced to the flow arts community that would later become her Ohana.
Lexy lived and loved with an understanding that life is precious and fragile. She hugged with purpose, and never held back when it came to expressing her adoration for the people she cared about. She was kind to strangers, and smiled often. She marveled at the immense beauty of mother nature and practiced being present. She found her true passion and became devoted to developing to her full potential. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile, contagious laugh, her adventurous spirit, and her passion for spreading love and positive energy. May we all honor her beautiful soul by taking this approach in our own lives.
