Merle Allridge Kartchner passed away July 5, 2007 in Salt Lake City. She was born Feb. 24, 1918 in Ferron Utah to Raymond and Pearle Allridge. She married Clinton Kartchner in Blanding Utah on May 7, 1939 and was sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple on Dec. 1, 1939. She loved being a wife and mother and cooking for her family. She was famous with all who knew her for her homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.
Preceding her in death is her mother, father and one brother, Lee Allridge.
Merle is survived by her husband Clinton, her children Raymond (Lola), Lynn, Jerry (Susan), Carolyn Mayhew, and Brent (Dee). She has 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 East 7800 South. A viewing will be the same day between 9:30 - 10:45 a. m. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Directors: Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, Merle has requested that people contribute to the Primary Children's Hospital.
