Esther Anna Kimball was born July 25, 1893 to Frederick and Cora (Hemingway) Kimball.
Cora had two brothers: Percy G. (1890-1890) and Daniel Calvin (1887-1975)
In the 1900 & 1910 Census the family (Parents Fred & Cora, brother Daniel & Esther) were living in Lyons, Illinois.
After her father died she moved to Texas with her mother Cora and brother Daniel Calvin.The family bought a farm 18 miles west of Plainview, Texas.(in the 1920 Census they are listed in Justice Precinct 4, Hale County, Texas & her brother Daniel is listed as a farmer.) In the 1930 Census Esther is shown living in Plainview, Texas as a lodger with the Allum family. Her occupation is listed as "x-ray & lab with the place of work Hospital & Clinic) Later Cora and Esther moved to California where Cora died.
Esther married Fenner Buffham (1896-1985) on April 11, 1936 and it appears they continued to live in California.. They had no children.
Esther died December 16, 1978 in Visalia, California. It is unknown at this time where Esther is buried.
