Mrs. Alexander died in Stoufferstown, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. P. Minnick. Mrs. Alexander was one of three victims of a recent automobile accident on Lincoln Highway, near Leeway Farm. Following her death, the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of Jacob and Anna Carbaugh Rook. She was the widow of George W. Alexander.
Three children survived her: Mrs. S.P. Minnick, with whom she made her home; Benjamin J and George. Fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survived her.

Note: Her headstone gives a birth year of 1842. Her death certificate gives it as 1843.
