Mary Allen Smith, 69, left this earth to be with Jesus on December 23, 2019.
She was born Mary Jane Smith on October 2, 1950 in San Antonio, TX to the late Joyce Griffith and Robert E. Smith.
We will celebrate Mary’s life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:30am. The service will be held at Christ’s Church – 2200 N. Sycamore, Roswell, NM.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Griffith, her sister Charlotte Lake, and her brother Fritz Wilks.
She is survived by brothers Donald Smith, Dennis Smith and wife Cindy, sisters Carol Bartlett and husband Danny, Robinn Lyon and husband Joe, Toni DeLaRosa, and Michelle Harman and husband Brian. Mary is also survived by her 3 children; Cia Johnson, Kim Coots, and Joe Wilkinson and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her last 12 years were spent in Roswell where she was her mother’s best friend and caretaker. Going out to eat with friends is what Mary enjoyed doing and playing Skip-Bo was a close second. Mary also enjoyed taking pictures. She loved to capture people and nature.
More than anything else, Mary loved the Lord. Mary loved people and she truly treasured the friendships she had.
